Home Remedies for Bee Stings can leave people’s skin swollen and painful. The swollen part of the skin at the bee sting can also become itchy and irritated, with it being too painful to itch. Before trying to treat it, people need to make sure to remove the stinger. They can do this by putting wet baking soda or mud over the stinger, then pulling it off.

A paste made of vinegar, baking soda and meat tenderizer should be applied on the sting spot. The enzyme called papain in the meat tenderizer help to break down toxins in bee venom. It can also be reapplied after several hours for better results.
Garlic juice is particularly effective for this because of its natural purifying properties. It can be purchased from natural food shops or pet medicine suppliers online and should be applied to the entire swollen area.
Lavandin or Idaho tansy essential oils – apply 1-2 drops on location two or three times daily. Use only 100 % therapeutic grade oils.
Wasps can sting more than once and usually do not leave their stinger in the skin, so you don’t necessarily need to look for a stinger, but you do need to neutralize the venom. If you don’t have lemon or vinegar handy, you can also lay a slice of raw onion on the sting site.
