Hey there! I feel so positive when I share health related Post. Ah! Today I have come up with the amazing benefits of green tea. Yes, I am a green tea Drinker!. No, not because of the taste, but because of the phenomenal benefits it comes with. By the end of this article I am sure you would also say yes to Green Tea.

So lets begin

1. Weight Loss

I chose to put this on the Number 1, since I know the biggest problem faced by masses are weight issues. Green tea increases the metabolism. Regularly Drinking green tea significantly decreases body fat, body waist and especially the abdominal fat.

2. Healthy Gums and Teeth

“Drinking green tea has bad effect on the gums and teeth” is a pure myth. It reduces the symptoms of periodontal disease. Regularly drinking green tea controls bacteria and dental plaque which prevents cavities. Thus, helps in healthy oral health

3. Diabetes

When someone eats food, There is a rise in blood sugar. But, Drinking green tea helps to regulate glucose level and slows down the blood sugar rise. Consequently, preventing insulin spikes and fat storage.

4. Lowers Risk of Various Types of Cancer

Today cancer is one of the world’s leading causes of death. I hope you know that it is the antioxidants that protects us from cancer. The Green tea produces an immense amount of antioxidants, which reduces the Risk of various types of cancers like Breast cancer, Prostate Cancer, Colorectal Cancer. Well, I am not saying this. Multiple observational studies have proved this.


5. Boosts Eyesight

Grandma says carrots promotes good eyesight. Which I believe is 100 percent true. But, here is a new member of the gang!. As previously discussed green tea has antioxidants. These antioxidants can actually penetrate the tissues of the eye and produce antioxidant activity. It also prevents cataract- induced blindness. So, drinking green tea can serve in boosting eyesight.

6. Lowers Cholesterol

If you belong to the category wherein one who has no control over greasy food, then I am sure this would help you. Green tea has EGCG, is believed to absorb the cholesterol from the large intestine. Green tea improves the ratios of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol by reducing bad cholesterol in the blood.

7. Skincare

The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory activities help with wrinkles and signs of aging. If you apply the green tea topically  then that can reduce sun damage in both animals and humans. So, next time you go to beach add a packet of green tea with sunscreen and sunglasses.

8. Improve Brain Function

Green tea not only helps you to stay awake but can also make you smarter. How? The answer is the ingredient “caffeine”. It blocks the  inhibitory neurotransmitter called Adenosine. Consequently, increases concentration. It also contains the amino acid L-theanine. The combination of both potent improves brain function.

9. Anti Bacterial

Green tea is a home remedy which keeps your immune system strong. Why going to the doctor every time, when you have the natural medicine at home? Green tea contains  catechins. This can avoid development of many bacterial species. It is helpful in treating everything from influenza to cancer.

10. Fights Depression

Green tea leaves have Theanine is an amino acid. This substance  acts as a neurotransmitter that increases alpha waves in the brain. Alpha waves are said to be the indicator of relaxation. So, you can expect a sense of calmness and less depression from green tea drinkers.
