If you are involved in a dysfunctional relationship with someone who consumes too much alcohol, never give up hope. Problem drinkers live in a world of denial, but at any moment they may hit bottom and seek to get help for their addiction problems.
If you are married to an alcoholic, you probably want to know how to make them stop drinking, right? Unfortunately, you can’t. You just can’t. They have to decide for themselves that they want to stop. They have to be willing to get help. You can support them and you can do things to help them, if they do indeed want help, but you cannot make them stop. And you cannot make them want or accept help.

After finding motivation, devise a plan on how you can slowly progress from decreasing your liquor intake until you reach the point that you totally quit from drinking. You do not have to force yourself from immediately quitting. You should do the process at a gradual phase so that you can monitor your progress and be more motivated when you see that everything is going as planned.
Make sure not to eat or drink alcoholic beverages before bedtime. If your stomach is full it will make breathing more difficult. Alcoholic beverages relax the muscles in the back of the throat causing snoring problems. Both eating and drinking can cause snoring.
