Sweaty armpits are a nightmare. Yet, it is a normal part of life for most people. You can’t avoid sweating but there are some home remedies to help you get rid of the problem. Don’t worry about how to stop sweaty armpits anymore!

Of course, healthier diet and regular exercise can also help prevent excessive sweating.

Below are some home remedies to stop sweaty armpits. Also, I will share how to get rid of excessive sweats with some natural herbs that you can find at home or easily purchase online.

1. Tomato Juice

Tomato juice is fantastic for reducing underarm perspiration , as it is rich in potassium and vitamin C which is a vital element for regulating sweat.

How to use: Take 200 ml of tomato juice with 1 teaspoon of olive oil twice daily. Mix them together in a cup, drink it and follow it up by drinking plenty of water or other liquids throughout the day. It is fine to have this mixture before meals as well.

You can also apply the same mixture directly to your underarms by using a cotton ball or pad. Just soak it in the juice and then pat it over the skin until it is dry.

2. Wheatgrass Juice

Do you know that wheatgrass can treat many diseases? This is due to its wide array of nutrients like amino acids, vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, enzymes, protein, anti-oxidants and the list goes on.

How to use: To stop sweaty armpits, combine one part wheatgrass powder with 4 parts water or aloe vera gel and apply it topically onto your underarms. You can also do this 3-5 times daily until you get rid of the problem.

3. Cornstarch and Baking Soda

Cornstarch and baking soda can help absorb moisture in your underarms and lessen the sweaty smell. They also work against bacteria that causes sweat odor.

How to use: Mix half cup cornstarch or baby powder with 2 tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl. Apply this mixture to your underarms and allow it to dry for a few minutes before getting dressed.

4. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C which is well-known for its skin lightening properties. It can also help reduce dark spots, acne scars and other blemishes on the skin . In addition, lemon contains antibacterial, antiseptic and astringent properties that can help your underarms.

How to use: Mix one part of lemon juice with two parts of water and rinse your armpits with this mixture daily before taking a bath or shower.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid which has antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties . It also balances pH levels of the skin to get rid of sweaty armpits.

How to use: Add 1 part of apple cider vinegar with 4 parts of water or witch hazel in a spray bottle. Spray this solution on your underarms at least twice daily for best results.

6. Baking Soda

Baking soda is alkaline in nature, so it can help balance the pH levels of your skin to get rid of sweaty armpits caused by acidic sweat . It is also effective against dark spots that may appear due to excessive sweating.

How to use: Mix one tablespoon baking soda with two teaspoons of water and make a fine paste. Apply this mixture on your underarms and allow it to stay for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with water.

7. Rosewater

Rosewater is an astringent that can help tighten pores, which in turn will reduce sweat production . It also has anti-inflammatory properties that can prevent itching and burning sensation on your skin.

How to use: Apply rosewater on your underarms twice daily with a cotton ball or pad for quick results. You can also add one part of witch hazel to three parts of rosewater before applying it.

8. Lavender Oil

Lavender oil is packed with antibacterial and antiseptic properties that can kill bacteria under your arms. It is also an anti-inflammatory agent that can reduce pain, itching and inflammation associated with sweaty armpits .

How to use: Apply lavender oil on your underarms 3-5 times daily for quick results. You can also add one part of witch hazel to three parts of lavender oil.
