One of the downsides to any chronic illness, especially Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia, is that you may likely suffer from a relapse after a symptom-free time. A relapse can rear its ugly head in many different forms and at different times.

More women than men are said to have this disorder and it has been more commonly diagnosed in young children and especially teenagers. Many other symptoms ranging from mild to life-threatening such as cardiac problems, asthma, muscle fatigue, pain, spacey feelings, digestive problems, depression and many more.

For that reason, a lot of people trying to beat chronic fatigue turn to a variety of therapies, such as professional counseling, cognitive behavior therapy, symptomatic treatment, and various alternative therapies, such as relaxation techniques, massage, and healing by touch therapies. Support groups are also extremely helpful.

Eat a healthy diet. Physicians agree that people with CFS should evade heavy meals, alcohol, caffeine, and large quantities of junk food. A registered dietitian (RD) or nutritionist can introduce menu plans to help reduce shows of fatigue.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is actually a bio-physical condition and was (finally) accepted as such by the UK government in 2001. But no cure has yet been found.

The way that hypothyroidism is related to chronic fatigue syndrome is the following: when the adrenals become stressed out, it puts the body in a state of catabolism. This means the body is breaking down.

You seem unable to participate in physical exercise because it takes such a toll on your body. This is very problematic when trying to overcome chronic fatigue because physical exercise helps to energize the body. It is also necessary for your overall heath.

Maintaining a journal also gives you a way to track treatments and shows what works and what does not. For instance, if you’re trying various headache or muscle ache remedies to eliminate Chronic Fatigue or Fibromyalgia symptoms, a journal will allow you to chronicle what treatment worked best.

If ever it is finally determined, patients are advised to lessen their activities as not to make them very tired and at the same time increase their activities as not to give them too much rest. In time these can be increased as stamina increases.
