How To Choose The Right Blazer – The Types of Blazers

Posted on July 19, 2011 By Noor Lifestyle No Comments on How To Choose The Right Blazer – The Types of Blazers
Blazers were very popular in England. The name blazer comes from the bright colors that composed the early jackets. However, today we find many women who wear blazers. These usually come in neutral colors. In earlier days, blazers were bright in color and came in striped patterns.

For an attractive, contemporary look, you can do no wrong with a blazer. A blazer dresses up any pair of jeans, or khakis, and makes any outfit look clean and professional. With the trend of office chic gaining in popularity, the blazer is this season’s must have.

Leather blazers come in many different colors, cuts, and even lengths. the nice thing about leather is that you can make it work in any fashion setting from formal down to very casual. Pair up a black leather blazer with a pair of jeans, or choose a white blazer for a more upscale look.

Teenagers are very keen to imitate their filmy idols. This aspect helped in achieving more popularity for the leather jackets when it was worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of his movie. Wearing a classy leather jacket or classy leather blazer is considered as a tool to show off machismo.

The blazer is still in use and enjoyed a brief revival recently. Primarily teenage alternative fashion embraced the blazer because of a mixture of retro, smart/casual and cheapness. Easy and cheap to find and buy, the blazer is durable and can be affixed with badges and sewn patches.

While buying a blazer make sure that you pick a color that goes well with maximum number of your dress shirts, sweaters and trousers. Shades like black, navy blue and gray are safest to buy.

Blazer badges come in all shapes and sizes – as clichéd as it may sound, it’s actually literally true in this particular case, and if you don’t know what sizes would fit your clothes well, you may end with quite a few purchases that you don’t enjoy.

High neck top with formal blazer will just look good on you if you are corporate woman. Baggy pants do not work well nowadays; instead you can adopt the tailored pants. Skinny jeans are surely a big no when choosing women’s dresses!
