How to Apply Concealer

Posted on April 30, 2014 By Noor Lifestyle No Comments on How to Apply Concealer
Makeup is an amazing thing. It accentuates what you have, hides what you don’t want others to see, and magically reveals what you don’t naturally have! One of makeup’s secret tools is the use of concealer. When used correctly, it is attractive.

The big mystery to using a good concealer is to get the right color for your skin tone, and blend it in as much as possible. I generally get a lighter color for winter months, and a darker shade for summer when my face is more tanned. You want your makeup to blend in with your own beautiful features, and the same rule applies to your concealer.

Another way to use concealer is to apply sufficient amount under your eyes (and if you prefer, you may also spread it to your temples). Using a damp sponge, press and pat the concealer to even it out.It is necessary to use a damn sponge instead of a dry one because the damp sponge will absorb less amount of the concealer.

Make up works best when it is used sparingly. As with, say, highlighters, a little can go a long way. This is particularly true when creating a look for the daytime hours, or for harshly lit environments. Bright light will show off too much concealer very quickly, and by going with as little as possible you can avoid a garish look.

Before purchasing a foundation, you need to remember that the color should be as close to your skin tone as possible. This will make your concealer look more natural. Pick three colors that are closest to your skin tone. When applying foundation, blend these three colors to make it look more natural.

Solid cream stick concealers give full coverage, but may be hard to blend. They are useful in hiding some of the more prominent blemishes and skin discoloration. They are great for minimizing under-eye circles. However, you need to make sure the consistency is creamy enough to blend well so as not to accentuate the fine lines.

The easiest way to begin applying it is to simply apply three dots under your eye and blend it in, it is far easier to add concealer than to initially use too much. If it looks too thick and dries out quickly then mixing some with a small amount of eye cream will make it much easier to apply. Once you have bought the right under eye concealer, and know how to apply it well, then you can look stunning even if you have some minor imperfections around your eyes.
