Health Trend: CrossFit Workouts

Posted on April 21, 2014 By Noor Lifestyle No Comments on Health Trend: CrossFit Workouts
CrossFit workouts are programs that focus on strengthening and conditioning. This type of workout method is used widely in gyms across the world, as well as in training programs for firefighters, law enforcement, and military organizations.

Fitness trainers also choose to have this training instead of any program out there since this is proven true a lot of times by a lot of individuals. Men and women who wanted to have a strong and fit body prefer to use it since it will make you work your whole body and not just a part of it.

Jump ropes are used in CrossFit training and are one of the simplest and least expensive pieces of equipment around. You may want to invest in one that will last a long time. But even the most expensive jump rope will be quite affordable.

Regular push ups will do just fine, but if you want to get a bit of preparation for the speed of Crossfit workouts then you may want to try the clapping push ups. They are pretty much the same, except that you push much faster and then clap your hands once in between reps. Warning: you might fall on your face, that’s what happened to me once when I tried clapping my hands two times.

The purpose of lifting weights is to develop strength as well as determine a good technique for the entire duration of the workouts. Remember a woman’s objective in CrossFit workouts is to be fit, not hurt herself.

The reason for the multi-joint movements according to the creator of Crossfit, Greg Glassman, is that they represent how humans use their body, as a whole.  In other words, the exercises are functional.  Beside thrusters and gymnastic movements such as pull-ups and handstand push-ups, Crossfit integrates Olympic lifts to develop functional strength and power.

You will need high quality equipment which costs a bit more, but this is not somewhere where you want to go cheap. Your equipment needs to take a pounding and keep going. Start off with the basics which is a good quality barbell, a set of bumper plates, a pull up bar, gymnastic rings, and a kettlebell.

Sit-ups will always be the best form of abs and stomach exercise. Just like the L-sit, you can lose a significant amount of excess part in the mid section by performing a routine where the body is supported by the arms while the legs are held straight in front.
