During summer, the hair tends to get stickier and hence poses big problem. Here are few tips which can keep your hair swaying beautifully even during the summer.
Egg is highly nutritious for skin and hair. Mix egg yolk and lemon juice evenly and then apply on the scalp. Leave it for half an hour, till you hair feels a bit of tightening and then wash with lukewarm water followed by a good shampoo.
You can rub lemon on your scalp or apply coconut oil mixed with camphor ingredients or use gooseberry oil to get rid off the dandruff.
Always wear a cap if you are going out for swimming. Always wash your hair after you’ve taken a swim. Avoid heating your hair through flat-irons or curling-irons – it can lead to long term damage to your hair. Also try to avoid excessive styling products, especially the ones containing alcohol and paraffin gel. Buy some natural, organic products instead. They may be slightly more expensive, but provide much better returns in the form of healthier hair.
Also during summer months, one should be sure to consume a diet rich in Vitamins C, E, and beta-carotene. These antioxidants keep away the free-radicals abundant in radiant sunlight. Without these antioxidants, these free-radicals destroy cells. To this end, consume fruits and vegetables like apricots, grapes, broccoli, and spinach.
Eat healthy and drink plenty of water. Hair is an extension of your body and if your body is not healthy, your mane will lose its shine and vigor and start to look dull and boring, as it is a mirror or your health at all times.
Avoid products that contain synthetic oils such as mineral and/or petrolatum oil, as they further dehydrate your hair. Also avoid products that contain drying alcohol, such as hair spray, mousse and some gels. Instead, opt for a finishing lotion.
