Different Types Of Nose Rings

Posted on April 30, 2014 By Noor Lifestyle No Comments on Different Types Of Nose Rings

If you are considering getting your nose pierced or you have just gotten pierced, you may not realize that you have a lot of different options where nose rings are concerned. With so many different jewelry options you can choose the fashion statement that really fits who you are and the way that you want to look.

Stud-type nose rings come with a few different types of attachments. The first is a straight pin with a little ball at the end. To insert this type of ring, just place the ring in the hole and press it in. When you put it in, the ball catches to keep the ring from coming out. The reason the ball works is that it’s larger than your piercing hole, so inserting this type of ring can cause a little pain.

A captive bead rings is similar to what you would see someone wearing in their cartilage. It fits into a small opening in the circle of the ring and is a little bit bigger than that opening. This is so popular for nose rings due to the fact that it lets the wearer remove the ring by taking off the captive bead.

The bone nose rings are a short stud with a larger rounded portion that prevents the ring from slipping out. The twist nose ring has a spiral design that twists into the nose and sits flush against the inside of the nostril.

Trends come into force when publicly perceived ‘respectable’ people are seen to be wearing them. The target audience is now quite large for nose rings, so high street chainstores have added them to their ranges in more inventive ways, as well as producing new types for public consumption.

Circular barbell rings are similar to the captive bead rings in that they have a bead on the ends to hold the ring in place. They are also in a circular shape like the captive bead rings. However, the circular barbell rings are in the shape of a horseshoe and the two ends don’t join together like a captive bead would.

Getting a piercing anywhere on your body can be a fun way to express your personal style. Unlike tattoos, if you no longer want to have it, you can take it out. Depending on the person, the small hole left behind should heal up and disappear; however, this is not always the case and a small hole can be left behind.
