Obesity and depression can result to an overall negative impact in a woman’s life. Being overweight causes mobility problems. But more than physical immobility, her social life can be stalled as well. If obesity and depression beset you and have you feeling trapped, begin the battle with the thought that you are in control.

That the outcome of your health depends on you and you can do something about beating obesity and depression and paving the way towards happiness.


Obesity in children is a growing concern today. Children are more and more overweight these days than 10-15 years back. Obesity is a major cause of serious diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and hypertension.

Childhood obesity trends has more than tripled in the past 30 years. The childhood obesity prevalence between children aged 6 to 11 years elevated from 6.5% in 1980 to 19.6% in 2008. Childhood obesity has reached epidemic levels in developed nations. Twenty five percent of children in the US are heavy and 11% are overweight. Childhood obesity effects a child psychology. Overweight and obese youngsters frequently have difficulty keeping up with other kids and joining in sports and activities.

Being overweight will increase your chances of suffering from a multitude of illnesses. The sad fact is that once you have become a victim of a weight related illness, it will not be a situation that can easily be reversed, and in many cases it will be something that you will have to live with for the rest of your life, however long that life is.

The effects of being overweight can have a major impact on your self esteem and confidence. The way you think about yourself greatly affects what direction your life goes in. many people who are overweight can often be self conscious of that.
