Ingredients
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup whole-wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat kitchen appliance to 350°F. Coat a pair of baking sheets with preparation spray. Grind oats in a very mixer or kitchen appliance. Transfer to a medium bowl and stir in flour, sodium bicarbonate and salt. Beat butter in a very giant bowl with an electrical mixer till soft. Add oil, refined sugar, refined sugar, egg and vanilla; beat till swish and creamy.
With the mixer running, add the dry ingredients, beating on low speed till simply combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop the dough by heaping teaspoonfuls, a minimum of one in. apart, onto the ready baking sheets. Bake cookies, one sheet at a time, till firm round the edges and golden on prime, regarding quarter-hour. Cool the cookies for two minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to chill fully.
